We upgrade every home with smart home technology and keyless front door entry before you move in. Before move-in day, you will receive instructions for setting up an account with Rently, the technology that powers our keyless entry systems. After midnight Central Time on the day of your move-in, you will receive a temporary front door access code. Once you've used the code, you'll be able to change it. Say farewell to lost keys!
Your Elara Resident Services team will be here at every step to help make your move as smooth as possible. After you've signed your lease, you will receive a welcome email with a few key instructions. Here's what you need to know:

After midnight Central Time on the day of your move, Elara will text you the code to the smart lock on your front door. Once you’re inside the home, head to the Elara Resident App to fill out the move-in inspection form. Please also make sure to upload your proof of Renters Insurance to Second Nature here, and then take a deep breath!

We built the Elara Resident App to make living in an Elara home as easy as possible. It’s your one-stop-shop to make monthly payments like rent and utilities, setup autopay, submit maintenance requests, access documents related to your property (including a copy of your lease), and communicate with our Resident Services Team. iOS and Android users can download the app through this link. If you don't have an iOS or Android device, please create an account through our online Resident Portal.
Once you have signed your lease, your Elara team will provide you with the contact information for applicable utilities providers for your home so that you can set up your account in your name before move-in day. That will allow you to communicate directly with service providers and track your monthly usage. In some instances, depending on the home, some utilities (such as water and garbage collection) may remain in Elara's name. When that's the case, those services will be billed through the Elara Resident Portal. You can access the Resident Portal online or through our Elara Resident App.
First, please make sure to list Picket Property Management as an "Additional Interest" on your policy using this address: PO Box 660121, Dallas, TX 75266. Then, please upload your proof of Renters Insurance coverage through our partners at Second Nature using this link. Or, if you need to get renters insurance, our friends at Second Nature can get you a competitive quote here.
(We do business as "Elara Property Management" in the states where we lease and manage homes to avoid confusion with our parent company, but we ask that you use our official legal name when you add us as an "additional interest" on your renters insurance.)

Ready to say goodbye to late fees? Sign up for autopay, and your monthly rent will automatically be paid in full on the 1st of each month. It's easy to enroll.
You can sign up for autopay using a bank account. Please note that your first autopay rent payment may not be applied to your current billing cycle. Until autopay begins, please make payments as you usually would by logging into the Elara Resident App or Resident Portal.

Elara Resident Services team is comprised of full-time team members whose most important job is to help you have a great experience in your home. When your application is accepted, we will automatically connect you with a Resident Services team member who knows your home and your area. They will be in touch with you throughout your move-in process to make sure you have what you need and know what to do next, and they'll be your go-to all the way until you move out (and into another Elara home we hope!). They're there to answer any questions you have about your home along the way.
